November 19th

Renaissance Dream… I completely fell in love with the Renaissance Art: some Bruegel follows the first two Botticelli I did and I am painting today Giotto and Michelangelo. “Renaissance Hommage” could be the title of this Series inside the Nightmares Series. Why do I paint the Renaissance inside the Nightmares Series? Maybe because the Renaissance follows the Dark Age of the Middle Age, the Obscurity, the Darkness of Nightmares that we associate with the Medieval long experience of Humanity. Renaissance is maybe still a clear witness of this Dark Age which is ending like a Nightmare towards the Light… the Light Age of the Renaissance…

Matinée de pluie. J'arrive á peindre dans l'espace confiné de lumiere oü je mets le grand tableau (d'aprs Carnaval et Careme de Bruegel l'Ancien)...

Apres Jan un des fils, le pere... Plus je peins "Bruegel" plus je suis confus. La confusion entre deux peintres, deux génération que je croyais n'etre qu'une, montre bien mon manque de savoir sur la peinture médiévale.

En fait apres la peinture grecque de l'Antiquité, je me plonge apres Bosch dans les racines de la peinture s'il en est une... J'aimerais connaitre cette base avant de continuer dans le temps: Peut-etre meme suis-je allé trop vite sur l'Antiquité et dois-je y retourner dans mon prochain grand tableau?

Est-ce que le XIXe siecle n'avait pas comme nbous les deux : peinture médiévale contre peinture dite classique sous les yeux pour voir qu'elles ne s'oppose pas....

Le nu parfait de l'Antiquité par exemple n'est décelable malheureusement qu'á travers d'une part la sculpture et la représentation du corps de l'homme. Le corps de la femme est comletement percu différemment aujourd'hui sans doute parce que celle-ci s'est libérée et le nu partfait féminin n'apparait en peinture que depuis le XIXe siecle....

Le nu sur vase grec n'est pas parfait. Le nu masculin classique antique ne serait qu'une invention de la Renaissance?

Avant de m'attaquer á cette merveilleuse époque en peinture qu'est la Renaissance (je viens de le faire un peu avec Botticelli) je préfere m'arreter encore quelques mois ou années? á la peinture médiévale qui me parait si mystérieuse en comparaison...

La beauté ne réside plus alors dans la perfection qui est abime mais dans le réalisme merveilleux.

En fait le mieux serait de mélanger perfection classique avec réalisme magique.

I am having a reflexion about pornography in my own art: thanks to studies about pornography in litterature and example in Ancient History... I try to think about my use of porno in paintings since the beginning and how it is so bad seen by the people around and on the internet… the next 50 pages with Parrhasios with whom I try to identify myself is a key to progress in the hard way of a new painting where porno is no more just an excitation but a trying to change the world by changing the view of art…

Qui est Parrhasios ? C'est un excellent peintre de l'Antiquité qui a recu la gloire de Rome et de nombreux prix d'excellence sous l'empereur Tibere. Or, voila qu'aucune de ses peintures ou presque n'a resistait au temps. Pascal Quignard nous révele pourquoi : Parrhasios était un peintre pornographe, il peignait des scénes sexes. C'est meme l'inventeur du porno qui éthymologiquement signifie art du lupanars, représentation graphique de scenes crues pour inciter les hommes á aller voir les prostitué(e)s... Dans les pages d'octobre je dresse (c'est le cas de le dire) un bilan de l'étude sur le porno aujourd'hui pour mes propres peintures...

September the 8th, It's not new: informatics doesn't match with the human life but this time with gay marriage in the game Skyrim, amulet of love etc. I was expected much more also about sex: morbidity is always there when the player tries to make love. This is the limits of the Virtual World. That's why I had the idea since I am willing to paint Nightmares to create an "imagerie" where love and making love (Symbol of the Twin Moons) would be possible in the Skyrim world....

8 Septembre 2012, Ce n'est pas nouveau l'informatique se conjugue mal avec le coté humain de la vie mais cette fois avec le mariage gay dans le jeu Skyrim, l'amulet d'amour etc. je m'attendais á plus de sexe aussi entre les personnages masculins : le coté morbide est toujours au rendez-vous quand on essaie de faire l'amour en virtuel. Ce sont les frontiéres du monde virtuel... C'est pourquoi j'ai eu l'idée puisque je cherche á peindre les cauchemars d'essayer de peindre une nouvelle "imagerie" ou l'amour et faire l'amour (symbolisé par les Lunes Jumelles) serait possible dans le monde de Skyrim...

I am more and more thinking about what will happen after D*R*E*A*M*S*. Don’t you have an idea? Of course…. N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E.S

For the moment, I am completing the Heroes Quinto’s D*R*E*A*M* where this actor who played a psychopath in the Series Heroes, has an opium D*R*E*A*M* which transports him in the 15th Century at the time of Carpaccio in Venice when this genial painter was freshly painting his anachronic Life of Saint Ursule (maybe I am mistaken with her name :)… I come back for that to Picasso’s Teenager Mystery I already talked about… Carpaccio painted in his Series about the Saint Life a Saint Ursule’s D*R*E*A*M* which I will paint again 5 Century after with the iconic and beloved actress: Audrey Hepburn’s D*R*E*A*M* This will be my next and first woman’s D*R*E*A*M* and will be linked with a Saint, so I don’t know how erotic male nudes will be depicted in it…

Note: I am painting a new way from last week where first I paint several sketches and then like (the former painters technique) I use them in the D*R*E*A*M* I am painting…

Well, my friends, this Series of D*R*E*A*M*S* reached its half way and I am already feeling the signs of the following N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E.S with the Heroes Quinto’s D*R*E*A*M* I am painting now…

Slowly my new Series start… It begins with the theme of “dreams” and Freud inheritance… Like in the John Irving book “Hotel New Hampshire” and the same-title movie starring the young and beautiful promising actor: Rob Lowey…//Peu à peu ma nouvelle Série “Rêves” se met en place. Cela à commencé avec le thème du Rêve issu de l’héritage Freudien… comme dans le livre de John Irving “Hotel New Hampshire” et le film homonyme avec Rob Lowey, jeune acteur prometteur qui a marqué mon adolescence dans les années 1984- 1987 …

Premiere Painting
It was in 1984. Rob Lowey became a caricature of the glittering star system and everything was already in “Hotel New Hampshire”: the Left, Marx, Freud, the free travelling in Western countries (America, Europe/ Vienna, New York City…), the plane crash, the bomb (in echo with Margaret Tatcher hotel bombing?) and the strange sacrifice of the blind bear tamer…// Rob Lowey est devenu une médiocre caricature du star système après ce film, mais tout était déjà dans le livre d’Irving : la gauche, Marx, Freud, les voyages faciles à l’Ouest (USA/Vienne/NYC)) suivi du crash de l’avion et de la bombe (écho de la bombe de l’hotel visant Margaret Tatcher) et l’étrange sacrifice du montreur d’ours aveugle…

As a bisexual teen I was influenced by this movie at 15-17 y. o… the sexual freedom (Rob Lowey sleeping with several women including his own sister Jodie Foster, the Gay and Lesbian characters….) all this combined at the end of the book/movie with the fear of the Left is interesting seen now with new eyes: we the 99% made a mistake: we accepted the strange sacrifice of the blind bear tamer like an evidence, wihtout asking ourselves why it happened, we then let the Neo-Liberalism ideology governs our lives in the following thirty years….//la liberté sexuel dans le film où le très gay Rob Lowey couchent avec plusieurs femmes y compris sa propre soeur (Jodie Foster), les personnages homosexuels… tout cela se recoupant à la fin avec la peur de la gauche. C’est très impressionant quand on revoit cela avec nos yeux d’aujourd’hui: nous les 99% avons fait une erreur, nous avons accepté comme une évidence l’étrange sacrifice du montreur d’ours aveugle sans nous poser de question et nous avons ouvert la porte à l’idéologie néo-libérale pendant les trente années qui ont suivi…

To make it shorter: we were blind (like genius writter Irving yet saw it)… It’s a bit like if since the book “1984″ didn’t happened, we did a big “Free Market Party” without thinking too much about the future and the consequences (ecological, human) of this “Big Party”.//En bref, comme le génial Irving l’avait vu nous avons été aveugles… Un peu comme si le livre “1984″ n’ayant pas eu lieu, nous avions fait la “fête du libre-échange” à la place, sans vraiment nous préoccuper du futur et des conséquences (écologiques, humanitaires) de cette “fête”…

Je suis en train de peindre ces rêves nés ou conséquence de cette idéologie trentenaire (avec le star système) qui n’est que le rêve des autres gens (des 99%) et comment cela influence nos vies et notre futur.. mais pour voir le futur et l’Histoire dans une dimension plus large (que ces trente années) , je mélange des peintures médiévales, grecques, impressionistes etc. (grâce aux photos disponibles aujourd’hui en HD) car ces vieilles peintures nous racontent plus de notre histoire que la photo peut le faire depuis le vingtième siècle…// I am painting this: the movie stars and the other people’s dreams and how they influence our lives and our future… but to see the future and History in a larger scale (larger than 30 years), I am mixing Medieval, Ancient Greek, Renaissance, Impressionist etc. (with available HD pphotos) because these old paintings tell us more than the color realistic photos of the 20th Century can do…

And I am combining these old paintings with high definition photos of male nudes, woman nudes, medusa, other animals, landscape etc. because it is also an experience of hyperrealism in painting, like if in these D*R*E*A*M*S* I re-compose our inheritance of History mixed with the Present, with my autobiography, i.e. my ferret, my plane trip project to West, my discovery of painter Basquiat etc… Conclusion: this is a combination of hyperrealism experience with autobiographical views mixed with History and vision of the Future.//et je recoupe ces peintures plus ou moins anciennes avec desphotos actuelles de nus masculins, de nus féminins, de méduses, d’animaux, de paysages toujours en haute définition parce que c’est également une expérience hyperréaliste…. Comme dans le rêve je recompose notre héritage historique mêlé à notre histoire, à mon histoire d’aujourd’hui.
14th May "F*A*K*E* ou les derniers rêves paillettes du néo-libéralisme. Dans ma nouvelle série de peintures commencée cette semaine avec "Le dernier rêve d'Adrien Brody" (après avoir vu la pub de cet acteur pour Lacoste mon estime pour lui est retombée très bas et j'ai voulu analyser ce sentiment et en faire un symbole de lancement de ma nouvelle série). 24 April "Maintenant que Le Pen est à 5 point du deuxième tour loin devant le Front de gauche je me sens moins français que jamais (un extra-terrestre en quelque sorte ou mieux: un Equatorien -- vive Correa!) et je me dis que la France devrait faire attention si elle ne veut pas devenir un jour pire que la Hongrie sur le point politique....

14.3.2012 Holnap lesz... Tomorrow in Hungary will be the bigest demonstration for and against the Orban government. Today media said that after Greece Hungary where I live will be the next... Now you can understand why -- while being against the far right politics of Orban -- I look South and support the Greek People Viktory...

2.2012 For years I did what I thought I had to do. It just became… “Necessary”. Then “Necessary” became consuming and then consuming became life sucking… Yet, even though my life was being stolen from me I was still afraid to stop. Crazy!?!I was driven by fear’s constant “what ifs”. What if I stop and we don’t have enough money – What if people get angry with me – What if others tell me I’m wrong – What if I can’t do anything else??? The list goes on and on… From a spiritual perspective – fear is not of God (I am not christian though, my God is more a private abstract God far from any religion) – or rather, I find God often telling me in scripture »> DO NOT BE AFRAID! Does that mean I throw all caution to the wind? No, but it does tell me that my logic and my life choices are better determined by my faith than they are by my fears. So what did I do? Well, I started with the idiom “life is short” – this disarmed and unveiled the ugly cycle I had been drawn into. Next – I faced the “what ifs” and ultimately chose life – that is – the things I love including; my family, my friends, my art and many other passions as well. I am aware that life isn’t always about what we want but, be wary because it can become all about what we are afraid of. So today I am celebrating abundant provision, true opinions, and above all, the fact that I have my life back! ~ Happy day to you all Geo

Pendant des années, j'ai fait ce que pensais devoir faire. C’était devenu tout simplement ... "nécessaire". Puis "nécessaire" est devenue la consommation et ce besoin en cercle vicieux de consommer par nécessité a commencé à rendre la vie pénible... Pourtant, même si ma vie m’était volée, j'avais toujours peur d'arrêter.C’est dingue!! J'ai été conduit par la peur constante du «si». Que faire si je m'arrête et que nous n'avons pas assez d'argent - Que faire si les gens sont mécontents de moi - Que faire si d'autres me disent que je me trompe - Que faire si je ne sais rien faire d'autre?? La liste s'allonge encore et encore ... D'un point de vue spirituel - la peur n'est pas celle de Dieu (je ne suis pas chrétien mais, mon Dieu est plus un Dieu abstrait et privé, loin de toute religion) - car plutôt, mon Dieu m'a souvent dit « N’AIE PAS PEUR! « Est-ce que cela signifie que je dois m’émanciper de toute prudence ? Non, mais c’est pour me dire que ma logique et mes choix de vies seront mieux déterminées par ma foi en ma bonne étoile que ce par mes craintes du « si ». Alors qu'ai-je fait? Eh bien, j'ai commencé avec l'idiome "la vie est courte" - cela désarme tout de suite puis ça dévoile le cercle vicieux dans lequel je m’étais engouffré. Puis - j'ai affronté les «si» et j’ai finalement opté pour la vie c’est-à-dire : les choses que j'aime, y compris, ma famille, mes amis, mon art et de nombreuses autres passions aussi. Je suis conscient que la vie n'est pas toujours ce que nous voulons, mais, méfiez-vous car elle peut devenir tout ce que nous craignons. Donc, aujourd'hui, je célèbre un bien-être sur tous les niveaux, le retour de mes véritables opinions et surtout, le fait que j'ai ma vie de nouveau ! ~ Bonne journée à vous tous Cyril
2.1.2012 Hello I am Geo painter always 25 y o , I live in Hungary and I decided to make a blog about FREEDOM against the dictatorship which is dangerously installing in this country (today is January the 2d, 2012) in solidarity with all the journalists who can’t work normally and this till democracy is not coming back. I thought that democracy was everywhere around me. In 5 years I saw how a country can fast become tthe begining of a dictatorship: no more retirement fund which was stolen in 2008 by the government without the consentment of the population to pay the country external debt for instance, a big inflation: every day prices are increasing... I stay here for my friends because I believe I can help to stop their oppression only from inside… /// Je suis le peintre Geo et j’ai décidé de faire ce blog pour célébrer la LIBERTE le 2 Janvier 2002 et ceci contre la dictature qui s’installe dangereusement en Hongrie, pays où je vis. Je croyais que le monde autour de moi était démocratique.
